Refractory castables and cement are different building materials. They are not only judged from the appearance, but also in terms of their manufacturing methods, applications, and performance properties.
1. Different preparation methods and types:
Refractory castables are made of refractory aggregates, powders, binders and admixtures through batching and mixing. Due to the different aggregates and binders selected, they have different functions and many types; cement is made of bauxite and Lime is used as a raw material, mixed with a certain proportion of raw materials with appropriate ingredients, after sintering, the clinker with aluminate as the main component is ground into fine powder to produce a fire-resistant hydraulic cementing material.
2. Different applications:
Refractory castables are mainly used in various factory kilns and metallurgical industries. The high temperature resistance can reach 1000-1700 degrees Celsius, which can meet the requirements of industrial kilns.
Ordinary cement is used in civil construction and other projects, urgent projects and special emergency repair projects.
3. Different nature:
Refractory castables have high fluidity and high moisture content. They are unshaped refractory materials; they have good cement bonding properties, fast hardening speed, high bonding strength, strong plasticity, and convenient construction.
