The fused AZS castable is made by crushing the fused bricks according to a certain particle gradation ratio. .
Electrofusion AZS castable has the following characteristics:
(1) When the temperature is below 800°C, the expansion increases regularly according to the coefficient smaller than the expansion coefficient of the AZS electrolytic material, which has little relationship with the load.
(2) At 800°C to 1200°C, the exudation of the glass phase has been increased to 1200°C at most, resulting in the following effects:
a) In this temperature region, the fused AZS castable has good plasticity;
b) Both the fused cast zirconium corundum (ZrO232% grade) paving brick and the fused AZS castable contain about 20% glass phase, and the two can be well adhered together.
(3) From 1200℃ to 1300℃, when the temperature exceeds 1200℃, the glass phase begins to transform into mullite, the plasticity is weakened, and the material begins to change in the ceramic body, until the whole bottom of the pool is sintered into a closed and inseparable whole.
It can be seen from the above that the key to the fused AZS castable is to pulverize the original brick, which contains about 20% glass phase. The existence of the glass phase in the fused AZS castable makes it become a strained material after exceeding 800 °C. The plasticity and adhesion of the material in the temperature range of 800~1300 °C are beneficial to the joints with weak displacement in some cases. It can be kept sealed at the bottom, and a reliable intermediate layer is formed between the fused cast zirconium corundum paving bricks containing the same glass phase, which can effectively prevent the foamed glass from infiltrating between the paving bricks and the lining, and avoid "drilling up" erosion. Extends the life of the bottom of the pool.
Furnace designers should select products strictly according to the working mechanism of fused AZS castable, that is to say, the production plant must use raw bricks to pulverize AZS castable and set up special grinding equipment such as ball mill (lined with rubber).
