Andalusite brick

Andalusite brick has a dense and uniform single structure, which is used to resist slag, penetration and corrosion of refractory materials in steelmaking furnace lining.

1 Low creep rate

2 High temperature resistance

3 Good thermal shock resistance

4 Wear and corrosion resistance

Andalusite refractory brick introduction

Andalusite has high Al2O3 content and low impurity content, making it an ideal high-grade refractory material. At the same time, the volume change of andalusite refractory bricks during the sintering process is stable. Andalusite refractory bricks have good low thermal conductivity, high resistance to slag corrosion and creep resistance. Refractory bricks have high thermal strength, low porosity, resistance to pressure drop and crushing, deformation resistance, thermal shock resistance, and good fire resistance. The micro-expansion of andalusite refractory bricks changes the use of materials and the extension of service life. Andalusite refractory bricks are widely used in kilns and boilers in various industrial fields such as metallurgy, building materials, fine ceramics, electric power, and chemical industries. Andalusite refractory bricks are used in some metallurgical furnace tops, and the effect is better than silica bricks.

Advantages of Andalusite Brick

Refractory andalusite bricks have low temperatures, low conversion rates, and lower thermal expansion. During the conversion process, coarse crystals, andalusite refractory bricks can be used for polymerization, all of which can make andalusite can be directly used to produce fired or unburned bricks No calcination, and save a lot of energy.

Andalusite refractory bricks have a series of advantages and strong creep resistance. Creep is a measure for refractory bricks to resist high temperature load for a long time. The premature softening of andalusite refractory bricks by molten impurities has a great influence on creep.

Andalusite refractory bricks have high high temperature strength and decrease with the increase of temperature.

High temperature strength is related to the amount of liquid phase formed by refractory bricks at high temperatures.

Andalusite brick has the characteristics of high temperature resistance and good volume stability. Other Al2O3-SiO2 series refractory bricks have better thermal shock stability than Al2O3 content and strong chemical resistance.

Application introduction of andalusite brick

1 Blast furnace

2 Hot air stove

3 Soaking furnace

4 Steel drums

5 Ladle, cement rotary kiln

6 Ceramic tunnel kiln and glass kiln

7 Lining nozzle, nozzle material

8 Teeming ladle lining

Manufacturing process of andalusite brick

Andalusite refractory bricks are made of andalusite as raw material, with silicomanganese ore powder, mullite powder and other powders added. The binder is added in proportion, and then mullite powder, andalusite powder and sillimanite powder are put into the mixed sand. Mix by machine, add 2% of the total weight of the raw materials, mix with clay and water, then add silica powder to mix, press the bricks into refractory bricks, dry the refractory bricks, put them in the kiln and burn them to make andalusite refractory bricks.
