What are the most commonly used Refractory castables for heating furnaces?

In the metallurgical industry, heating furnaces are equipment (industrial furnaces) that heat materials or workpieces (usually metals) to the rolling temperature for forging. Heating furnaces are used in many industries such as petroleum, chemical industry, metallurgy, machinery, heat treatment, surface treatment, building materials, electronics, materials, light industry, daily chemicals, and pharmaceuticals. The following are the most commonly used Refractory castables for heating furnaces.

Refractory Low cement castable:

Refractory Low cement castable suitable for the high temperature and medium temperature zone of the heating furnace, and the use temperature is between 1400 and 1500 . Low cement castable is a castable produced by using micropowder as binder, aluminate cement as coagulant, and adding some anti-coal agent and water reducing agent. Its main characteristics are: moderate solidification speed, good thermal shock resistance, high load softening temperature, strong slag resistance, high refractoriness, etc.

 

Refractory Self-following castable:

Refractory Self-following castable is suitable for the parts of the heating furnace where the structure is more complicated and cannot be vibrated manually. The use temperature is 1500, which is characterized by good thermal shock resistance, high refractoriness, easy construction, and almost no need for vibration.

 

Refractory Phosphate castable:

Refractory Phosphate castable suitable for heating furnace bottom and other parts where material friction and hot air erosion are more serious. The mixing degree is between 1000 and 1600 . It uses phosphoric acid or phosphate as a binder, and aluminum oxide Calcium cement and magnesia are used as a castable for coagulant. Its characteristics are: high refractoriness, good thermal shock resistance, high compressive strength, strong corrosion resistance and impact resistance, and good wear resistance (it is better if a small amount of steel fiber is added).
