mullite bricks

Sintered mullite bricks for glass kilns are refractory bricks with good thermal shock resistance. Sintered mullite bricks have high refractoriness, flame contact, and are widely used. They are cheaper with fused mullite products.

Glass kiln is a kind of high-temperature kiln. The batch material is melted into molten glass in the trough-shaped kiln. It is made of a variety of refractory bricks and unshaped refractory materials. The continuity of the manufacturing process, the type and production scale of glass products, the flow direction of the flame in the kiln, and the waste heat recovery equipment of the flue gas. The front end of the upper retaining wall of the melting part of the glass kiln (that is, the front end of the nose area of the L-shaped hanging wall) hangs a row of flame-blocking bricks or a set of water bags, mainly for sealing, and the flame-blocking bricks are made of low-expansion silica brick or Sintered mullite bricks.

product description

Sintered mullite bricks for glass kilns are made of sintered mullite, fused corundum, fused mullite and special additives through high-pressure forming and high-temperature sintering. It is the industrial basis of aluminum silicate refractory materials. It is used in glass kilns. One of the common refractory bricks is mainly used in the middle and upper part of the regenerator of the glass furnace, the furnace wall and the dome of the small furnace, the large dome of the molten pool, and the feeding channel. The refractoriness of this product is about 1850, the softening temperature under load is high, the corrosion resistance of acid slag, the characteristics of high temperature resistance, good thermal shock stability and low high temperature creep rate.

Introduction to the production process of sintered mullite bricks

Sintering method to synthesize mullite bricks mainly depends on the solid-phase reaction between AL2O3 and SIO2. The improvement of the fine dispersion of raw materials will accelerate the process of solid-phase reaction. Particles smaller than 8μm have a great effect on the formation and sintering of mullite. According to some research data, the sintering effect of synthetic mullite insulation bricks is great. According to some research data, the sintering temperature of synthetic mullite bricks Depending on the proportion of less than 4 m, when the particle size of the material is below 4 m, the material is dense.

Calcining temperature: Synthetic mullite bricks generally begin to form at 1200°C and terminate at 1650°C. At this time, it is microcrystalline, and the crystals develop well when the temperature exceeds 1700°C. Therefore, the sintering temperature of synthetic mullite insulation bricks should be greater than 1700°C. When using natural raw materials, the calcination temperature is slightly lower due to a small amount of impurities in the raw materials. When the content of AL2O3 in the ratio is lower than the theoretical composition of mullite insulation bricks, the calcination temperature is 1630~1650, and the heat preservation is 6.8h, and a well-sintered mullite brick with a mullite content of more than 90% can be obtained. material.

Sintered mullite bricks for glass kilns are refractory bricks with good thermal shock resistance. This product has a wide range of uses and can be exposed to flames.
